Danish champions working within the system

Since many of the Danish EuroBalance champions hold a position in their company, where they are already engaged in issues regarding employee wellbeing, they are able to use this position to spread the message of WLB.

Following are a few examples of actions planned by the champions in the near future:

Two champions have joined together in planning an arrangement within the municipality, where they will put focus on the topic of WLB. The participants will be other personnel who are also employee representatives.

Another of our champions, who is working with safe and health in an HR department in another municipality, has started to look into a daycare project. In the municipality there is the need for a holiday daycare facility for people working in a nursing home. With a facility like that it would be easier to man shifts in vacation periods. Our champion is looking at good examples of other organizations doing this in Denmark for inspiration.

In our own organization, we are planning a VIFIN staff meeting, where WLB is the focus. Here all employees will be present, and discussions will be initiated about the work life balance situation in the organization. The meeting will consist of a general information on WLB, group discussions about dilemmas/scenarios where WLB is at stake, and a talk about the WLB possibilities that employees at VIFIN have; which ones, are we using them, and why/why not.
