Chwarae Teg's Agile Nation project is funded by the European Social Fund and the Welsh Assembly Government. It has been developed to ensure that in workplaces across the Convergence Area of Wales both employers and employees benefit from the project's expert support.
For women employees looking to enhance their potential at work, Ascent is an in-depth programme that has been designed to help women develop their skills and confidence.
The Ascent Programme is free to attend and includes tutorial support, 1 to 1 advice, mentoring and up to 5 days of training, culminating in participants gaining an Institute of Leadership and Management qualification.
The Agile Nation Project is also providing support to employers. Through the Evolve Programme businesses are able to attend a free one day workshop designed to increase their understanding and appreciation of gender, diversity and equality issues. Evolve also shows businesses how, by adopting contemporary workplace practices, including flexible working and work life balance they can create a more productive, profitable and rewarding environment for the business and its employees.
Eligible businesses can access up to 6 days of free consultancy to support the implementation of gender, diversity, flexible working and work life balance policies and practices.
The Agile Nation project is also actively seeking to engage with partner organisations within Europe. This will help deliver a transnational element to the project whereby learning and experiences from our European counterparts can be shared to further facilitate a reduction in the gender pay gap.
